| Yanagawa
hoping to be fit for round two
Kawasaki's luckless Akira Yanagawa
is expected to have the collarbone he broke at Kyalami last weekend pinned
this week with the intention of being back in action for round two of the
series at Phillip Island, Australia on April 23. Yanagawa crashed on the
oil left by the stricken Bimota of Anthony Gobert but the gritty Japanese
rider believes he can return on the ZX-7R for the next round.
Yanagawa broke a collarbone five
years ago, had it pinned and won an All-Japan superbike race two weeks
later. Whatever the case Yanagawa will definitely be looking for a re-appearance
on home soil for the Japanese round at Sugo on April 30.
