Quotes:

Aaron Yates: "I am real comfortable. The thing's soing around like I want it, and doing what I want. Tomorrow it might be a little hotter, and maybe the time will stand up, even though it was drizzling. I could have gone a little faster, but the wind was really blowing and I was a little cautious. It feels good to be up front, better than in the back wondering what the heck you are going to do."

Steve Rapp: "I've been qualifying in the top 5, so it's my usual area. My times were good and the bike is working pretty good. I'm happy, any time you're faster than Kocinski and Mladin, you're happy."

Mladin and Rapp did the same exact time, Rapp did his first so he gets the position.
