Four times World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty remains undecided about his future although the straight-talking Briton believes he may still have a part to play in World Superbike action.
Fogarty crashed at the Phillip Island round of the championship in April, suffering a bad break to his upper arm. Extensive muscle and nerve damage suffered in the accident has now been repaired and the 35-year-old believes a return to racing is possible.
He said: "I'm torn between wanting to race again and not wanting to race again. One day I wake up and want to get out there and race but the next day I want to call it a day. It is quickly becoming a motivation thing and nothing to do with the injury.
"It's been more than five months since the crash and the muscle in my arm has been wasting away. I need to get my head down and do some serious training if I'm to come back to racing. "
"Riding two demonstration laps at Brands Hatch earlier in the month really took it out of me but it's just down to my arm being weak and I know that situation can be improved.
"Ducati has talked about a mid-September decision on my future although that will probably be changed but I've got to start thinking long and hard now about my future."
