Aprilia's Corser staying put -
by dean adams
Tuesday, August 29, 2000

Troy Corser is likely to continue to race the Aprilia RSV1000 in the 2001 championship, taking up a second year option on his deal with the Italian manufacturer.
The Australian has exceeded first year expectation on the twin cylinder machine and is second in the championship with three rounds remaining.

The Aprilia attention now turns to who will partner Corser in 2001 with a host of names linked to the rider, including British Superbike riders Chris Walker and Neil Hodgson and grand prix veteran Jeremy McWilliams.

American Ben Bostrom's name has been mentioned in regards to Aprilia, but by Bostrom's own admission, Ducati Corse has the first option on him for 2001.

Aprilia's interactive web site asks you to vote for Corser's 2001 teammate. (note: annoying pop-up on exit)
