Where to now for four-stroke GPs. ?

The much talked about four-stroke GP plan has been put on hold after the FIM asked for the proposed rules to be returned - effectively leaving the switch to four-stroke machines in doubt.
However, the FIM's move may not have been prompted by changes to the technical regulations but by World Superbike promoter Octagon Motorsports' gentle reminder that it has an FIM agreement to run the exclusive four-stroke world championship until 2007. (Gentle: lawyers)
