The
quiet Beatle loved racing
by dean adams

As
stated here a few weeks ago, former Beatle George Harrison has been
a motorcycle and car racing enthusiast for some time. You could catch him
at GP races in the 1970s and 80s and up until four or five years ago he
was sighted at many F-1 car races.
But, as revealed in the new Beatles
book, Harrison has been a racing fan for a lot longer than anyone realized.
The new book, authored by the three
surviving Beatles, features a picture of Harrison sitting on a roadrace-style
motorcycle at Aintree, a small racetrack near the birthplace of the Beatles,
Liverpool, England in 1955. Aintree is now largely a horse racing facility.
