For one fellow, last weekend was one of those rare moments in time when the stars align, all the numbers are right and every drop of sweat equity you've mopped away finally pays off.
At least it was if your name is Alan LaBrosse.
LaBrosse is a former national level racer in his own right (former Superbike rookie of the year, back when it meant something, and a 250 GP and F-1 winner) but now he spends his days managing the careers of Miguel DuHamel, Pascal Picotte, Jordan Szoke; and he has in the past managed the Bostrom brothers and even Colin Edwards, albeit for a brief time.
LaBrosse's first and arguably biggest client, the legendary DuHamel, had a great weekend at Mid-Ohio, winning the 600 race and nabbing a podium position in Superbike.
LaBrosse also runs a Honda Superbike team in Canada, last weekend his rider, Steve Crevier, won the 600 race there and podium'd in Superbike at Mosport.
On top off all that good fortune, the biggest win for LaBrosse may have taken place in Michigan on Sunday, where LaBrosse-managed Indy car driver Patrick Carpentier won the CART race.
When it rains, it pours.
