The F-1 car racing world is recognizing that this weekend, at the F-1 car GP in Indianapolis, broadcaster Murray Walker will announce his last race.
Walker is a legend in F-1 circles, having worked in that arena for several decades. In fact, the 77 year old has been working in racing for over fifty years.
Most of the car nerds don't know it, but Walker got his broadcasting start in bike racing, announcing races in the UK and later broadcasting them on the BBC.
He, like his father Graham, was a figure in 1950s and '60s GP motorcycle racing.
Walker co-wrote the now very rare 1963 book, "The Art of Motorcycle Racing" with Mike Hailwood.
