It was fifty years ago today that Buster and Alice drove the tow-truck to the hospital in Modesto (or was that Turlock?)and Alice Roberts gave birth to Kenny Leroy Roberts, a lad who would later become a three time AMA champion, world champion and multi-time Daytona 200 winner.

And at some point, we all began calling him the King.
