Final Qualifying from Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Rich Oliver leads the order right away with a 1:37.909 but Mladin uncorks one just after him. The immediate top five is Mladin, Mike Smith, Oliver , Pridmore, Stevens, Tommy Hayden. Gobert currently 8th. Then he pops one off and goes fifth.

Ten minutes into the session Mladin still leads: the order is Mladin, Pridmore, Gobi, Stevens, then Tom Kipp.

Chandler is eighth, Ben Bostrom ninth. Smith is back to 12th.
There is a huge in-house Ducati battle here with all of the VHRD bikes fighting it out.

12 minutes in, Bostrom goes to second fastest, but the order is 66, 11, 97, 41, 95, Tom Kipp back to tenth.

Sixteen minutes into the session, Pridmore goes second fastest with a 1:38.4. There's a huge inter-team rivalry thing happening over at VHRD. Gobert wants a job, Stevens wants to keep his and Pridmore wants to prove to Vance that he made a big mistake in letting him go.

Chandler goes fourth fastest with a 1:38.88

Mladin's time from yesterday is 1:36.579, and second place was Eric Bostrom with a 1:37.660, over a second slower. Paddock chat says that Mladin cut the chicane when he did that lap, but the Australian says it is not true. Mladin's second fastest time yesterday 1:37.486.

Mike Smith has been in the pits for a long time thus far, while the team works on his bike. Gobert too has been in the pits for over ten minutes.

Half way through session the order remains the same. Gobert and Smith are back out.

Gobert does a 1:38.474 Right now there's three VHR bikes in the top six. Gobert is a "quick study" as Richard Chambers, series announcer says.

Mladin finally goes faster than his pole time with a 1:37.327, then Bostrom rips off a 1:37.444. Gobert still trails
