Hayden Tests, Crashes, Goes Fast

American Honda's Nick Hayden called in this morning with his report of the multi-day VIR test that happened this week.

"It went good--pretty good. My fastest lap was a 1:25.00--dead on--which is a full second faster than what I did at VIR last year."

We had some problems. I had some problems I should say. I twisted my ankle a few days before the test when I was out riding with my brothers. Got it stuck in a hole and twisted it. I could ride--obviously--but it wasn't much fun as my ankle ached. Also, I crashed my Superbike on the second day of the test. I was just going for it and pushed the front, lost the front and crashed the bike. I felt pretty bad what with Brainerd being so close (as) it made a whole lot more work for my guys."
