Yamaha Supersport rider Aaron Gobert, injured in the ghastly crash on the banking in the 600 Supersport race, will probably be flown home to California, hopefully this week.

Gobert has undergone several surgeries since the crash to fix broken bones in his legs. He should be stable enough in a few days to fly home via air ambulance.

Gobert regained consciousness two days ago and asked what exactly was wrong with him. Family members found it easier just to tell him what isn't broken/damaged than what is. "Your left arm is okay ..."

He is expected to make a full recovery.
