For the first time in living memory, Phillip Island has been bathed in cloudless blue skies for three days. Three days, mates! Normally you?re lucky to go three *hours* without rain here. As they say about this southern state of Victoria: if you come, come prepared for the four seasons in one day.

The healthy crowd is lining the entire circuit, the stands are full and I'd say there are 40,000 fans here.

Bayliss looks good but the Texan (Edwards) was the most consistent in morning warm-up--the only rider to record a 1:32 lap with five in a row under the in the 1:33 lap. It'll be a battle between them for sure.
