Although many of the details are still as yet unknown, it has been confirmed that veteran Superbike crewchief Gary Medley has left the Kawasaki team and will be working with Doug Chandler at HMC Ducati.
This is the second crewchief loss for Kawasaki in less than a year, as they lost AL Ludington to Honda previously.
It is expected that Medley and Chandler will be working together at the Laguna Seca test this week.
For both it will be a great departure from the norm. If there are three men in the world that you could go to bed each night believing they bled green it would be Chandler, Medley and Rob Muzzy. At the moment only Muzzy is affiliated with Kawasaki.
Kawasaki team manager Mike Preston has not yet returned our phone call asking for comment.
