AMASuperbike.com has confirmed that Australian Anthony Gobert has signed a one year deal to race the Austin Ducati in AMA Superbike racing in 2003.

Gobert signed his contract with the team over the weekend.

Gobert raced for the Yamaha factory for the past two seasons, winning races for the Japanese brand.

Prior to that, Gobert rode a Vance and Hines Ducati in AMA Superbike racing and was, to say the least, stunning on the bike. Gobert set the pole at Daytona when he last rode for Ducati, and won successive races on the Italian machine.

Few doubt he will be anything but competitive on the Ducati in 2003.
