What's left on your lifetime to-do list when you've won the 125, 250, 500 and MotoGP championships? Italian motorcycle racer and sometimes skate punk Val Rossi seems to be exploring ways to spend the days when he stops racing motorcycles.
Several F1 car web sites are reporting today that Rossi has been invited to test a BAR F1 car this year.
One F1 web site contains a quote from F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone in which he says that 'F1 needs people like Rossi'. Another has a quote from bike and car racer John Surtees in which he says that he feels Rossi has the talent to drive an F1 car. Surtees is the only man to win both the car and motorcycle world titles.
Rossi, like Ruben Xaus, is a well known Rally car head and has muttered several times that once he is finished racing bikes he'll be racing Rally.
Update: Rossi says he may drive a Rally car, but only to have a good time and he's "... not even sure I'm capable of driving a rally car as well as I ride a racing bike".
