Rumors ran rampant this week that American Colin Edwards II was not going to sign with Ducati and would instead ride the Yamaha M1 but last night sources close to the scene say that Edwards signed a second letter of intent with Ducati to race in WSC next season.

It is understood that the first letter of intent that Edwards signed had expired. It seems to be as close to a sure thing as it can be without an actual contract that Edwards will be racing for Ducati next year.
