Former world champion Colin Edwards II will test drive an F1 jet boat next week. The machine is sponsored by Castrol and normally piloted by Guido Cappinelli who won the UIM F1 boat racing championship this season. The boat has a top speed of over 130mph.
Edwards is quoted in the press release of this event as saying," I cannot imagine what kinds of sensations one can feel when you pilot a powerboat of this type, I only saw pictures on TV and I was very impressed about the speed that these boats can reach. I hope Guido give me all the necessary information for making a good impression before all my guests, and I cross fingers for Imola where the championship will be decided."
