Edwards led from the start with Bayliss right behind him. Bayliss made a bid for the lead before the second lap was finished but Edwards was right back in front a corner later.

Edwards steadily led the race, dropping his lap times with Bayliss not able to match his speed, but staying in second

Neil Hogson crashed out of the race on lap eleven during a battle with Haga. Hodgson lost the front and slid into the gravel trap.

A moment later the race was red-flagged.

In the re-start Edwards and Bayliss battled for the win with Bayliss crossingt the finish line first but due to aggreate timing, Edwards won the two-part race.
