Eurosport is reporting that multi-time GP champion Valentino Rossi tested a 2003 Ferrari today in Italy.

Rossi won the recent Welkom South African GP on a Yamaha M1.

Rossi is reported to have circulated the Fiorano test track at about three seconds off the lap record, wearing a helmet identical to the kind worn by Ferrari driver Mike Schumacher.
