Bayliss & Barros On Two Pons Bikes?

It's a little difficult to gauge what is happening on the HRC front in MotoGP for 2005. It's well known that Nick Hayden has re-signed with HRC for 2005 and '06, and most suspect that Max Biaggi will be his team-mate on the Repsol team next year.

Beyond that, it gets fairly murky.

Pramac and Pons, which acted as one team this season with the Camel pairing of Tamada and Biaggi, will be splitting up now that the season is over. Former Pramac Team Manager and now HRC-man, Gianluca Monitron has the contract with Tamada, so Tamada will be taken care of, and Pons has Camel, so they, too, will taken care of by Honda. Known good sources suggest that the '05 former Pramac team (now HRC?) will be Tamada, with sponsorship from Konica Minolta. On Michelins.

Meanwhile, Pons' Camel team will field Troy Bayliss and Alex Barros. Some sources suggest that Bayliss signed with Pons/Camel on Saturday at Valencia.

If true, the Gods seem to have shined on Bayliss in the best way possible after he split with Ducati. He goes from a factory Ducati on Michelins to a semi-factory RC211V on Michelins.
