current contract does not end until november

Ex-Superbike champion Colin Edwards II says he's raring to get on the Yamaha M1 and test it ASAP. But there's only one problem: his current Honda contract does not end until November.

Hence, it's essentially up to HRC whether they allow him an early-out on the contract, and as most remember, HRC didn't allow that when Rossi left Honda for Yamaha last year. Exacerbating the situation is the test ban during the latter part of the '04 season (where no "official"—puhleezee—testing can take place). If it all goes the wrong way, Edwards may not ride the M1 until 2005.
