1. Mat Mladin, Suzuki -- With the championship tightening up after Mid-Ohio, Mladin needed a couple of wins to build his lead back up. No one could hang with Mladin's lap times all weekend and Saturday's race was one of the classic Mladin performances, charging through the field three times to take the win. When the chips were down, Mladin came up big.

2. Roger Hayden, Kawasaki -- In Supersport, Hayden won to keep his championship alive. In Superstock, he pushed Aaron Yates, but the red flag ended any hopes at making a late-race pass. Had things gone his way, Rog might have had two wins on the weekend.

3. Aaron Yates, Suzuki -- Yates won the red-flagged Supersport race to solidify his lead in that series, and was second and third in the two Superbike races. Yates didn't just play it safe in 'Stock, dicing pretty hard with Rog Hayden until the red flag. Three podiums onthe weekend for Yates.

4. Miguel DuHamel, Honda -- With the hotly-contested FX showdown between Miguel and Jake Zemke coming down to the wire, DuHamel came up big to win the pole and the race. Miguel now trails Zemke by five with one race to go, which means he can run the table (winning the pole, race, and getting the laps led point) and retain his title. After a poor launch on Sunday's Superbike race, Miguel made a charge at third but came up about a lap or two short.

5. Ben Spies, Suzuki -- Spies might not have been able to close on Mladin in the points, but he did run up front in both Superbike races and stepped up his game. There was big pressure on him to win this weekend. He didn't, but he also didn't screw up. Spies is also still alive in the championship, but realistically needs Mladin to face trouble in Atlanta to win it.

6. Tommy Hayden, Kawasaki -- Tommy, still injured with a broken hand that required surgery after Laguna, finished a very close second at VIR. He has a 31-point lead with one race to go.

7. Jason DiSalvo, Yamaha - DiSalvo darn near knocked his knee off Saturday morning on the track, but came back from the hospital to win pole in Supersport and Superstock. On Sunday, he was on the podium twice.
