Mat Mladin won the Sunday Superbike race at Barber, taking a decisive double victory on the weekend to jump to second in Superbike points. Mladin beat teammate Ben Spies by 0.992 after Mladin slowed on the last lap through traffic. Honda's Miguel Duhamel finished third, consolidating the same finishing position he earned on Saturday. DuHamel was 15 seconds closer to the front on Sunday.

Tommy Hayden took fourth for Yoshimura, ahead of Jordan Suzuki's Aaron Yates. The Yamaha teammates Eric Bostrom and Jason DiSalvo were sixth and seventh, followed by the Kawasakis of Jamie Hacking and Roger Hayden in eighth and ninth.

Tommy Hayden got the holeshot, leading until Eric Bostrom took the point. Lap three was the exciting turn of the race, with Mladin passing Tommy Hayden and Eric Bostrom to assume the lead. Matt Lynn retired on lap three and Jake Holden crashed on the same lap.

By lap seven, Mladin earned a 2.1 second lead and was nearly gone. He was putting between two and three tenths a lap on Spies, who felt the heat of Miguel Duhamel. Mladin eventually worked the lead up to over four seconds. The gap shortened in traffic but Mladin was never seriously threatened after he took the lead on lap three.

The points standings after three races: Spies 103, Mladin 95, Duhamel 90
