Two longtime employees left the employ of the AMA last week. Both Greg Harrison and Bill Wood resigned.
Harrison had been at the AMA since the late 1970s and was one of the most powerful persons employed by the AMA. His title was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, but he had his hands in many of the facets of AMA business.
Wood, meanwhile, is well-known as the face of the AMA's magazine but like many at the AMA he also had his hands in different facets of AMA operation. He was the contact person when the AMA put out the release detailing how they paid Roger Edmondson $3 million dollars to settle a lawsuit in 2001.
Insiders predict that the house-cleaning is not over by any means in Ohio and more high to medium profile will be leaving the association soon.
