1098 Legal For World Championship

One tiny detail some missed on the list of homologated motorcycles that the FIM sent out earlier in the week is that the 2007 Ducati 1098 is actually now legal for world championship racing—in the World Superstock championship.

An anomaly or a sign of things to come? It's hard to believe that this isn't a distinct political sign that the 1098 will be racing the WSBK class in '08.

As it stands, the 1098 can not legally be used in World Superbike racing.
