by staff
Wednesday, June 13, 2007

Soup's Tim Huntington went to Misano for the World Superbike races in 2001.

Tim captured a lot of images that weekend. It was the glory days of World Superbike, with Colin Edwards on the Honda, Troy Bayliss on the Ducati, Troy Corser on the Aprilia, and Ben Bostrom in the L&M Ducati days. PF Chili raced for the Alstare Suzuki team in those days. Neil Hodgson raced the HM Plant Ducati.

The Benelli World Superbike team entered their first World Superbike race that weekend with rider Peter Goddard. (Some photos of the Benelli.)

Nori Haga raced GP at the time but showed up that year.

Bayliss and Bostrom split the wins that Sunday in Italy. It was the first win of a five race win streak for Bostrom.
