How long until the torrent of Lanzi's 'last Ducati race' is posted on Sunday?

With three riders going into the final round of the championship all capable of winning the title, the World Superbike championship has shown itself to be the most hotly contested title chase of the year. Legions of fans will be glued to their computer screens all weekend watching the action and waiting to see the races on television.

Waiting for some time it seems.

Speedvision won't be showing the Magny-Cours WSBK races and revealing who wins the title in moving pictures until mid-day Tuesday. No, really!

We've asked our friends at Speed for comment on this and thus far have not heard back from them. If they do comment we will post it.

WSBK has been getting an occasional delay on Speed this season, but to not show the final title-deciding round for days afterwards is a small tragedy. Especially considering Speed shows MotoGP races all season long on a same day basis, races where the title is wrapped up months before the end of the season, races in which Ducati's Casey Stoner appears to have a nine speed gearbox and his rivals only six.

Not to fret, though. Speed will offer several hours of both Redline TV and the motorcycle industry time machine/stunt show (because every time it airs it drags us back years in terms of public perception)
Super Bikes on Sunday.

For unknown reasons WSBK's internet feed is delayed until Tuesday as well.

Take this for what it's worth: delays like this serve essentially no one in the enthusiast ranks, the series or the network. While the older guard are still happy just to have racing on TV, younger fans who have never known life without the Internet, cell phones and race results posted the minute races end simply won't tolerate it. The more tech-savvy may find the races on bitorrent and then won't watch the race on TV—at all.
