Data Acquisition now Legal In Supersport

According to a Competition Bulletin released today by the AMA, data acquisition is now legal in the 600 Supersport class.

The bulletin reads:

TO: All Road Race Licensed Riders and Season Credential Holders

FROM: AMA Racing

DATE: April 23, 2008

SUBJECT: Data acquisition in the Supersport and Superstock classes.

1. Effective immediately, remove any strikeout wording and replace with italicized wording.

4.7 Data Acquisition (page 40)

Aftermarket data acquisition equipment, utilizing only original homologated sensors, may be added, modified or replaced and must connect to the original homologated connectors. is not permitted on Supersport or Superstock motorcycles.
