Yates could tie the Superstock win record
It's a long shot, but Jordan Suzuki's Aaron Yates could tie the all-time Superstock victories list this year. If he emerges victorious in every Superstock race in 2008, he would tie Scott Russell atop the list for most class wins.

AMA Superstock will no longer exist as a class after this season, so there is no margin for error for the rider who has already won the first two Superstock races of the year.

Yates is credited with 15 wins in Superstock and trails only Jason Pridmore and Russell (23 victories) on the AMA's list of class wins. The AMA renamed 750 Supersport as Superstock a few years ago, then increased the displacement for the class afterward.

Yates won the class title in 1996 and 2005.
