We offered DMG's Roger Edmondson a chance to comment on current events in the US Superbike series, especially after our brief e-mail interview with Honda's Ray Blank last week. Initially, Edmondson accepted but has now deferred.

Edmondson wrote in an e-mail to us:

I'm sorry but I must decline at this time. I have been very open on everything and recent reading has made it clear that there is much activity behind the scenes. In the beginning I hoped that all of the discussions with our various industry partners would be private and civil, this very quickly became a public mess. Once it was out in the public arena I determined to let the sun shine on all of our decisions and concepts, including trial balloons. Now is the time for me to be reading, listening, and keeping my big mouth shut! So I will.
