AMA Public Relations has issued a response to my request for more information on yesterday's firing of many AMA staffers, as reported here last night. (Update: Kevin Crowther still has his job at the AMA.)
Their response is:
"The AMA is in the midst of a reorganization for the benefit of its members, however, it would not be appropriate at this time to discuss individual personnel matters."
Yes, we have received several reader missives wanting to know how this development is going to impact Josh Hayes' Daytona 200 victory disqualification appeal hearing, as presumably departed Keith Kizer would have been the one to man that operation.
We have absolutely no idea how this will be handled, and we get the vibe we're not alone.
