Former World Superbike champion and MotoGP race winner Troy Bayliss has declared the Miller Motorsports Park track a good one. "Interesting layout, with a surface not unlike Misano. Good grip but a little loose from the dust," he said after the first qualifying session today. "Long straight, man the straight is long."
It's well-known that Alan Wilson-designed racetracks have a feel and and flow all their own.
Bayliss wouldn't go so far as to say that Miller Motorsports Park is a European-style facility like the old Assen, Monza or even Jerez, but said MMP was a good, solid facility and track. "Sort of a weird track technically in a few spots, but all in all good. It's got some good places to pass and we'll see what happens come Sunday."
