Lantern-jawed racer Fritz Kling succumbed to cancer Friday morning. The longtime Michigan resident is survived by his wife and two sons, and his dad, Fred, a Michigan motorcycle scene enthusiast.

Fritz was an honest and forthright fellow with a wicked sense of humor. And he was amazingly fast.
