Basically, The Way It Is by dean adams

After one MotoGP practice session, the current situation, essentially, is this:
Can Stoner do enough laps to win the race before he hurls up the content of his stomach? Stoner was ill after the last two rounds and his health as of today at Laguna was an issue.
Valentino Rossi is just fine-tuning his set up at the moment, saying he'll make some suspension changes to get more front end confidence and have the Yamaha team dial in some different engine management for tomorrow's sessions. He said that he likes whatever version of the Bridgestone front that the team are using this year.
Rossi's teammate Jorge Lorenzo is ready to challenge, he was near the top of the timing board for nearly all of the session today and says that he's happy with the front end and seemingly everything else on his M1. He's already talking like Sunday may be more about caution than bravery, saying that for him, now, it's important to finish the race and continue the championship fight than to win.
Hopes that Colin Edwards II, armed with the Bridgestone front, would come out swinging in the first session were not realized. He can, however, shoot a mean t-shirt canon.
Both Repsol Hondas looked dead stable and fast with Pedrosa lapping fourth-fastest and Dovizioso sixth-fastest.
For the majority of the session the top six or eight riders were all ex-250 men with only Rossi a meat-and-potatoes sized human going fast. That was indeed a sobering sight for anyone with hopes that Ben Spies would be in MotoGP next season.
