American Jason DiSalvo will race the World Supersport championship in 2010. DiSalvo has agreed to terms with the BE1 Triumph team where he will replace Australian Garry McCoy. DiSalvo will be teamed with ex-AMA man Chaz Davies.
DiSalvo raced for the M4 Suzuki team in 2009 and was a factory Yamaha rider here in the US before that. The likable east-coast rider has long been a middleweight specialist and has previously raced in Europe.
DiSalvo and Davies opting for World Championship competition in 2010 makes it three riders that have decided world championship racing is their future instead of the DMG series. Roger Lee Hayden will ride for the Pedercini Kawasaki Superbike team.
DiSalvo will be on the Triumph this week at the Portugal WSBK/WSS test.
