The Daytona 200 was re-started and Martin Cardenas did not make the re-start. He has walked away from the pit lane.
It'll be interesting to see what the "new" DMG does to series champion Danny Eslick who clearly jumped the re-started race. A television camera focused on him clearly showed him roll out of his starting box before the start of the race.
Josh Day was bumped out of the race in turn one of the re-start.
Tommy Aquino, Steve Rapp, Eslick and Dane Westby (among others) are currently disputing the lead. Aquino's Yamaha is blowing some impressive flame trails on deceleration in the run into turn one.
Project 1 Atlanta rider Dane Westby led the Daytona 200, an impressive feat for the fledgling team.
Ten laps have been put in the books here at Daytona and there is no movement by DMG to penalize Eslick.
