Soup Live In Jersey: The Situation

Superbike Planet is live from New Jersey Motorsports Park, the site of this weekend's penultimate round of the AMA Pro Superbike championship.
This is the spot where we should make a humorous pop culture reference to the Jersey Shore television show. Sadly, we're so pathetically unhip we've never even seen the program, except for a brief insert a few seconds long on Leno or some other late night talk show. So insert your own joke here.
It's rainy at the track right now as the big storm comes through but the forecast is for nice weather this weekend once it finally passes.
This is the big weekend for championship battles as Superbike and Daytona Sport Bike both go down to the wire. Tommy Hayden (Suzuki) and Josh Hayes (Yamaha) are fighting to add their name to the list of AMA Superbike champions and this could be the weekend one of them gains some separation.
Hayden's teammate Blake Young is back for Rockstar Makita Yoshimura Suzuki at New Jersey. Young has missed recent races after a testing crash. One rider that is out for the year is Aaron Yates, who injured himself further after VIR while walking down the sidewalk and needs more surgery.
In Daytona SportBike, three men have a shot at winning that crown. Defending champ Danny Eslick (Geico RMR Suzuki) is battling Josh Herrin (Graves Yamaha) and Martin Cardenas (M4 Monster Energy Suzuki) for class supremacy.
