It has come to our attention that Brit motorcycle manufacturer Norton is rising from its third (or is that fourth?) trip out of the ashes.
Norton will field its SG1 motorcycle again at the Isle of Man TT in 2013. The bike features a frame from English specialist Spondon, with an Aprilia RSV4 engine.
Yep, the same engine that ART outfits use in the Claiming Rule Teams class of MotoGP.
The SG1 only is scheduled to compete in the IOM TT next May and early June. So if the bike showed speed on the Mountain, it would be a hell of a PR coup for Norton and MotoGP if the bike competed as a CRT wild card at the British Grand Prix on Sept. 1 at Silverstone.
