Former 500cc Grand Prix and British Superbike rider Sean Emmett is free on bail until March after being arrested on suspicion of murder Thursday upon his return to the United Kingdom.
Emmett was confined to Dubai - where his newlywed wife, Abbie, fell to her death - for the last eight months even though he was not charged by authorities in that nation. British authorities finally arranged last week for Emmett to receive his passport and freedom to return to Britain, but he was greeted by police at Heathrow Airport in London upon his return.
Dubai authorities ruled Abbie Emmett's death as a suicide due to lack of evidence.
Late today Emmett was released on bail.
