Dall'Igna Reaching For Stars
by staff
Friday, December 06, 2013

Ducati has not won a MotoGP race since 2010. Ducati riders have scored just four podium finishes in the last three MotoGP seasons.

Yet that hasn't stopped new Ducati Corse boss Gigi Dall'Igna from setting ambitious - some may say insane - targets for the Boys from Bologna for the next few seasons.

"No one has asked of me to win at some point again," Dall'Igna said. "But I think we will have a motorcycle within two years, with which we can fight for the world title."

Pramac Ducati rider Andrea Iannone was 1.307 seconds behind the top time set by 2013 World Champion Marc Marquez last month at the postseason test at Valencia. Andrea Dovizioso was the top Ducati factory rider at the test, 1.374 seconds behind Marquez.
