It is with great regret that we report the unfortunate and shocking death of our colleague Henny Ray Abrams. He was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment this morning. No cause of death has been released.

Abrams wrote for Cycle News for virtually his entire career, beginning in the late 1970s. That he was found dead in front of his computer, presumably writing, isn't too surprising as "H-ray" considered writing a 3500 word feature something he could do before he showered in the morning prior to going to work.

"Henny Ray", 57, was well known for his tireless drive and sardonic wit. He will be missed.
