Motorcycle racing demigod Giacomo Agostini was the object of lust by countless European women during his pomp and still cuts a dashing, silver-haired figure in MotoGP paddocks. The year he brought his 19 year old girlfriend to Daytona remains a seminal moment for many a paddock wag. This was, of course, 1996 and Mr. Ago was much north of 50 years old.
That fact wasn't lost on sportswear and athletic shoe manufacturer Puma, which is using Italian stallion Agostini, 70, as a promotional ambassador for its new retro sportswear collection. Fifteen-time World Champion Agostini, 70, and retired tennis legend Guillermo Vilas, 60, are featured with much younger, leggy models in a promotional photo/advertisement from Puma.
Ago and Vilas aren't the only celebrities in the shot. Among the models are Lizzie Jagger, daughter of Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger, and Theodora Richards, daughter of Stones guitarist Keith Richards.
