The MotoGP test scheduled for March at the new Circuit of the Americas in Austin may get quite a bit more interesting if Yamaha Factory Racing accepts an invitation to join Repsol Honda at the session.
Repsol Honda riders Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez and LCR Honda rider Stefan Bradl will test in Austin just five weeks before the circuit hosts the inaugural Grand Prix of the Americas on April 19-21.
Since no teams have tested at the new Austin track, Dorna and IRTA asked Honda to extend an invitation to rival teams who pay their own way to the test. It appears Yamaha may accept and bring both Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi to Texas.
