Superbikeplanet.com is like at Austin, Texas' COTA facility for the joint Honda/Yamaha MotoGP test. The weather is fantastic and while bikes have not yet taken to the impressive track as yet, a MotoGP bike is being warmed up in the background and track action is soon to start.
This is a hugely impressive facility and has a very Portimao vibe to it--it reminds me a lot of the Autodromo International do Algarve in Portugal.
I saw Valentino Rossi this morning. He was just enjoying his typical American experience--meaning being able to walk in the sunshine by himself for extended periods and not be constantly asked for autographs or to father children. I asked him if our mutual friend, Michele Lupi of Rolling Stone Italy, is still riding/pushing his Harley around Milan. Rossi laughed at the mental image and said he is.
Rossi looks like someone has taken the weight of the world from his shoulders, which is probably the case.
