Lorenzo's Pace Punishes Again

Reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo ended up third fastest overall when the final preseason test ended Monday at Jerez, but he didn't seem too concerned.

Lorenzo was just 29-thousands of a second behind overall leader Cal Crutchlow and only 15-thousandths behind Yamaha factory teammate Valentino Rossi. But much like he did at Sepang, Lorenzo showed punishing, metronomic pace during a 22-lap race simulation.

His quickest lap during the race sim was 1:40.105, with his slowest at 1:40.955. No other rider showed anywhere near the same devastating consistency Monday, although Dani Pedrosa didn't ride.
