Ducati Continues To Be Well-Red (And White)

There probably won't ever be a press release announcing it, but Ducati Corse/MotoGP landed an achievement that will secure the future of the team for several years.

Signing Cal Crutchlow? Adopting the Open software so they could wedge their way back in to "factory" status with Open capabilities? The 2014 GP14?

No.

Knowledgeable sources suggest that Ducati and Phillip Morris have agreed to terms which will see the Ducatis remain red and white until 2017. Phillip Morris owns Marlboro.

Ducati hasn't used the word "Marlboro" in many seasons; it's not on the bikes or really on any promotional product due to tobacco regulations. In fact, some inside Ducati use the term "the sponsor" when talking about the brand of red and white.
