Longtime Yoshimura Suzuki Team Manager and Crewchief Peter Doyle has accepted a position as the Technical Officer for ASBK--the Australian national racing series.

Doyle is native Australian and is actually a second generation crewchief and mechanic--his father is '70s Kawasaki crewchief Neville Doyle.

Doyle was Mat Mladin's crewchief for his championships and worked with Martin Cardenas last season. Prior to that Doyle was Scott Russell's WSBK team manager in 1993 and has worked with a variety of different riders and teams.

Doyle will continue as an adviser to the Yoshimura team at Daytona next month, and will fly in for several other rounds of the DMG championship.

"If there are any," Doyle said with his signature wit.

Doyle's new job will see him overseeing the technical aspects of all of the motorcycle racing disciples in his native Australia.
