While we're not quite sure that it should be a source of pride or indicative of a serious personality/character flaw, it's true that we have attended every World Superbike event in America dating back to the first one at Brainerd in 1989.
Current conditions at Laguna are very cloudy and spitting rain--the usual Monterey bay area weather which will hang around until the sun burns it off. The DMG Daytona Sport Bike machines are on track right now.
Kawasaki USA has a huge event here this weekend celebrating the anniversary of the 900 Ninja model and also Kawasaki's first 1993 World Superbike title.
American Scott Russell will not be here this weekend after suffering major injury in a dirt bike crash earlier this week. Russell is expected to survive, and leave the hospital this weekend, but his participation here at Laguna is doubtful.
