A not thrilling session was capped off by three crashes, one of which was quite violent. Yamaha's Bradley Smith crashed the M1 in turn four late in this practice session in Spain and sent the M1 tumbling down the countryside. Smith limped away but the bike looked very "do over" after its cartwheeling.

Hiroshi Aoyama and Hector Barbera also crashed late in the session both seemingly unhurt.
